Overview
This course is available for learners who are interested in the T-Level Health qualification but do not have the required grades to meet the entry criteria.
This coure will introduce you to a Health and Social qualification with a mixture of assessments. This is a transition course, so all skills and knowledge learnt will enable learners to progress on to the T Level qualification. This course is perfect if you have a passion for Health and Social Care but need to re-do your English and Maths GCSEs.
This course is perfect if you’ve completed Level 1, or you’re already at a more intermediate level and looking to develop existing Health and Social Care skills and knowledge.
Entry Requirements
- 3 in GCSE maths, 3 in GCSE English and 2 in GCSE science (Preferably Science CORE).
- A introduction assessment to be undertaken at enrolment to assess suitability for the course
- Preferably some knowledge and skills of the Health and Social Care sector
- Clean DBS (DBS to be done in-house at the college when learners start)

Learners will need to complete 38 hours of work placement done externally.

- 2 internal exams set by the tutors and marked internally by qualified assessors
- 2 controlled assessments set by the tutors and marked internally by qualified assessors
- 4 assignments set by the tutors and marked internally by qualified assessors
