Overview
This course is delivered as a day release programme. Learners will attend College 1 day per week to undertake both theoretical and practical training. Learners will develop skills, knowledge and behaviour which are essential for anyone wishing to pursue a career as an installation or maintenance Electrician.

Entry Requirements
- Employed in a trade/industry related to the apprenticeship.
You will need to find employment in a related trade/industry before applying for the apprenticeship programme you wish to complete. - A*-C 9/4 Grade GSCE or Level 2 functional skills in English & maths
Course Structure
The apprentice will learn:
- Principles, practice & legislation applying to electrical systems
- Installation of wiring systems and electro technical equipment in buildings
- How to diagnose and correct electrical faults
- Planning and maintenance of electrical systems
- Health & safety, environmental and wiring regulations for electricians

An Apprenticeship Standard programme is occupation focused and concentrates on the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours required to complete the programme successfully.
